The Next Mile

It is estimated that one million teenagers from the USA participate in some kind of short term, cross-cultural missions/service experience each year. Even so, the lack of effective “follow-through” resources for returning participants has been described as the “black hole” of the short term missions movement. Can you imagine the tremendous potential embodied in these returning young people for God’s Kingdom if the church in America had the vision and resources to nurture and mobilize these young people?

"THE NEXT MILE” project is a collaborative effort headed by Brian Heerwagen, executive director of Delta Ministries International. "THE NEXT MILE” resources include a leader's guide, debriefing helps, devotionals, and a very helpful CD. The youth and adult "Goer Guides" feature mentoring materials, journals and a “Top 10” resource guide to help young people make wise life decisions.
