Youth Missions Network Forum 2007

January 15 - 17, 2007

Wycliffe Mobilization Center

(Home of the WordSpring Discovery center)

Orlando, FL.

Join us as we explore these critical questions:

·         What are we aiming for when we talk about "a missional lifestyle"?

·         How can we improve incorporating youth missions experiences into the lives of individuals, churches, and organizations?

·         How do we rigorously evaluate the outcomes of our short term missions efforts?

·         What changes are needed and how can we effect these changes?

·         How do we best shepherd this generation to embrace God's plans to reach the nations?

The Youth Missions Forum is hosted by the Youth Missions Network of the National Network of Youth Ministries. The Forum will be a stimulating and interactive time for local church and missions leaders, educators, and media professionals. Presentations and dialogue will center on critical youth missions issues, generate innovative thinking about youth missions in the local church, develop strategic initiatives, and stimulate participants to better mobilize this generation of youth to fulfill the Great Commission.

Our featured presenters will be:

Stephen Freed, the International Director for International Teams (I. TEAMS) With his broad global experience in missions and business, Stephen Freed will help guide our next steps in tackling the issues of "follow through in short term missions", nurturing a missional lifestyle, creating synergy in our efforts, and other critical issues.

David Livermore Ph.D., Executive Director, Global Learning Center at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and Co-founder of Intersect.

David, Terry Linhart Ph. D., Bethel College (Indiana), and Kara Powell Ph.D., Fuller Seminary are directing a research initiative called the “Short Term Missions Effectiveness” project. The results and insights from their recent research will give objective stimulus for dialogue and future initiatives.
