Welcome to
Youthgoglobal.com
This generation of youth in the USA and around the world possess great potential for bringing hope and the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. It is likely that this generation of young people will complete the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
If you have a heart to see youth involved maximized in missions and desire to synergize your efforts with other like-minded people, take a moment to check out what’s happening with the NNYM Youth Missions Network.

Background:
In 2001, the leadership of the National Network of Youth Ministries (NNYM) launched an initiative to form a Youth Missions Network. Daryl Nuss, a veteran of domestic and international youth ministry, was asked to coordinate this effort. The initial vision was to develop a coalition of USA-based denominations and organizations involved in international youth outreach who would work together on issues that confront the American church and are larger than the scope of any one group. Today, more than 70 groups are a part of this coalition.

Compulsion to act:

Two compelling realities have fueled the motivation for these groups to partner their efforts.
1.Teenagers and college-aged young people in the US represent a vast force that must be nurtured, empowered, and mobilized for missions both internationally and domestically.
2. A huge percentage of our world’s population is youth. Although statistics vary from nation to nation, it is not uncommon to find that certain countries may have 60-70% of its total population under the age of twenty-one. Yet, only a small percentage of our resources are targeted towards reaching this strategic age group.

Track record:

During the past five years, NNYM’s Youth Missions Network has identified several key needs and responded with the following initiatives. Our Youth Missions Network has:
1. Helped develop the “Standards of Excellence for Short term missions” (more information can be found at (www.stmstandards.org)
2.
Initiated the development of resources for the intentional and strategic follow-through of short term mission participants called "The Next Mile".
3.
Initiated development of a comprehensive data-base of outgoing US-based short term mission projects targeted toward youth
4
.
Initiated the “Whole Night for the Whole World” call to prayer for global youth on the Saturday night of Pentecost Sunday weekend.
As the Youth Missions Network looks into the future, a top priority is to stimulate and encourage the American Church and USA-based Christian organizations to adapt an effective approach of empowering youth here in the USA towards a missions commitment and to be strategic partners in reaching the global youth culture for Jesus Christ.
